November has been a fairly busy month for us, trying to work out a new schedule. I found a part-time job with the Arizona Science Center so Dustin has been playing Mr. Mom, spending lots of quality time with Olivia when I am working. I'm also still participating in two writing workshops with the help from a grant awarded by the Arizona Commission on the Arts. I started working so I could send Olivia to daycare and to free up more time to write. She started a couple weeks ago and is loving it! She's really shy, but they say she's warming up to everybody. They also say that she's very well disciplined, to which Dustin and I replied, "Really?"
This was our first Thanksgiving away from "home" which is Princeton, Indiana. I cooked my Thanksgiving meal and it turned out really well, with no major disasters! We had a few friends over for dinner, drinks and games. As you can see we had a fun time!

Janna & Dustin's Air Force Memoirs
OCTOBER 2008
In October, Dustin flew his first solo flight in the F-16 and Olivia and I got to see him fly off into the Wild Blue Yonder. Olivia was afraid of the loud sounds coming from the jets, so we had a quick photo opp and left as Dustin taxied to the runway. Also in October, Dustin got his name "ROCCK" from being stopped by the cops while he was "chairflying" on midnight walk through the neighborhood.
I got to know a lot of spouses this month. We had a great time beating each other up around the crud table. After lots of bumps and bruises, the ladies of the 61st FS won second place in the Crud Tourney!
It was a fun month that ended with Dustin and I dressing up for Josh and Felicia's Halloween Party. I was Marie Antoinette and Dustin was Marie's Executioner. It was a great time!
Olivia dressed up as Elmo for Halloween. We weren't sure that she was going to make it after she fell asleep at dinner in her high chair. We dressed her in her costume while she took a quick nap. "Elmo" woke up as we walked out the door. It took her a while to warm up to people, but by the last house she was actually asking "Trick or Treat" and wanted to keep going. She loved it so much, she asked to go "Trick or Treating" every day the week following :)

Just as Dustin and I are companions on this road of life, as are our family and friends. We feel blessed to share our life and our travels with all of you. As you know by now the Air Force has taken our family across the US and we have many more stops in the near future. Thank you for being our companions along the way!
